I’m a fine artist interested in cultural aesthetic expressions, which led me to train in both fine art and sociology. A core connection between my interests is how visual production is used to express as well as challenge social values.

I’m fascinated by the ways nature interacts with the man-made built environment. My early work captured scenes where natural beauty intertwined with an underlying tension in this relationship, echoing artists like Edward Hopper. More recently, my attention has shifted towards the human form, venturing into portraiture. Charcoal is now a primary medium, influenced by the dramatic atmosphere of film noir and the gilded touches of artists such as Brad Kunkle. Ultimately, my artistic pursuit is to craft images possessing a clear beauty underscored by a subtle disquiet.

Please enjoy my work.
